BUILDING RESTORATIONStone Repair or Stone Replacement.
Natural Stone can, over time erode, decay and in extreme cases return to dust. Our team of qualified Stonemasons and Building Conservation Technicians are hugely experienced in both repair and replacement of stone and can offer cost savings where there are options, returning the building back to its original architectural aesthetic without leaving a legacy of problems for the future owners. This skill set was particularly useful as a cost saver for the multiple occupancy repair over 8,9&10 Carlton Terrace, Grade A listed curved Georgian villas. |
BUILDING CONSERVATIONOur experienced team have undertaken several conservation contracts to preserve the slow and natural de-statbilisation of some of our nations important buildings and structures. Working closely with conservation accredited Architects and well managed repair strategies at timely intervals we can ensure the building is retained for future generations to enjoy such as the recent work completed at the'Temple of Decision' within the grounds of Falkland Estate, and the rebuilding of a medieval wall at the infamous Roslin Castle.

We were really pleased with the careful job Richard and his team did for us on our stone end terraced home in south Edinburgh – included some delicate patching with new stone on some chimneys and some on the gable with XXX mortar.
We now feel much more confident that the lime rich pointing will well outlast us and keep the fabric well protected. No problem with my fussing about the colour of the pointing to match the stone and my keen-ness to achieve a bag rubbed flush finish rather than recessed joints. No job too small as they also repointed the boundary wall along the pavement! DAVID |
We had LIMERICH tackle the crumbling stone walls of a lean-to on our Grade II listed Edinburgh townhouse, and they have done
a great job. Despite the problematic nature of the existing mortar, they have restored it to a solid, attractive state that will last us for many years to come. We were impressed by their understanding of the old stone construction, the respectful way they restored it to full health, and the team were a pleasure to have on site while they got the work done. CHRIS CHAPMAN |
Limerich won a contract to renovate the stone frontage of our Georgian townhouse which had deteriorated over many years. Despite being quite an under- taking over four levels the work was conducted safely on time and on budget. The end result has transformed the appearance of the property which gives us pleasure to see every time we look at it. Richard's knowledge and attention to detail helped achieve the result we were looking for. We would highly recommend Limerich to anyone with a similar restoration project to undertake.

We appointed Limerich to restore a few walls that had been previously inappropriately repaired in cement,
and also to build a new back step. They were very helpful and accommodating when we asked for a change of design to the step and all of their work was to a very high standard. The whole team was friendly and professional and we would definitely use them again. PETER McNALLY |
We have appointed Limerich several times to undertake Roof and Masonry Maintenence to our church.
The work done has always been to the highest standards, and Richard in particular continues to impress with his helpfulness and considerable knowledge and experience IAN M EARNSHAW Property Convenor, Bishopton Parish Church |
